Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join a physician/APP office team in Washington. The MA-C works under supervision of a licensed practitioner, handling safe clinical tasks and maintaining strong contact with physicians, nurses and patients.

The role includes patient flow management, vital signs, specimen collection, medication administration, referrals, and related clerical duties.

Qualifications

• Washington State MA-C certification required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize patient flow in coordination with front office staff.
• Interview patients and obtain vital signs.
• Assist patients in preparing for exams or treatments.
• Perform specimen collection including venipuncture.
• Administer medications per Washington State DOH regulations and competency.
• Relay instructions to patients and families/caregivers.
• Handle clerical tasks such as sending/receiving medical records and facilitating referrals.
• Prepare forms for patients.
