Job summary

Tower Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians with patient screening, history taking, vital signs and room preparation. The MA will perform clerical tasks such as greeting patients, scheduling, and EMR updates while ensuring smooth patient flow within the office.

Qualified candidates are certified or registered Medical Assistants with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and familiarity with electronic medical records.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
• High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program

Responsibilities

• Gather, screen, communicate and act on delegation from a provider, RN or LPN.
• Clerical duties: greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, update EMR.
• Room patients, take histories and vitals, prepare exam rooms, explain procedures, assist during examinations.
