Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program required.
• Registered MA or Nationally certified MA certifications required.
• Two -- four years prior medical assistant experience or healthcare experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy skills required.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus.
• Computer skills and typing required; EMR experience strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Calm, professional attitude and ethics in patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with rooming and demographics; respond to patient requests.
• Maintain and update patient charts; input data into EMR; retrieve records and test results.
• Support clerical tasks: phones, messages, copies, faxes, and appointment scheduling.
• Post results to patient charts and route to physicians for review and signature.
