Qualifications

• Completion of a medical assisting certificate program.
• High school diploma and 1 year of outpatient clinic or healthcare environment experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Supports safe and effective patient care in assigned clinics.
• Documents patient activities in EMR/EHR accurately.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and spaces.
• Assists with specimen collection and phlebotomy/EKGs as directed.
• Coordinates prescriptions and referrals with providers and staff.
• Participates in team meetings and quality improvement activities.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms and assists with patient flow and intake.
