Job summary

Ampla Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support providers and ensure smooth, high-quality patient care in a clinic setting. The Per Diem MA will greet and room patients, take vital signs, assist with exams, administer medications and immunizations, and handle lab specimens and referrals, while maintaining clean exam rooms and adhering to infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification required.
• Completion of an accredited MA training program
• Current CPR certification
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients; take vital signs and document in EHR
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and care plans
• Administer medications and immunizations per protocol
• Collect and process lab specimens
• Manage referrals, follow-ups, and patient education
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and follow infection control guidelines
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and quality improvement activities
