Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program is required
• Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques
• Proficiency in medical record systems and basic computer applications (Microsoft Office and Google Suite)
• Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent patient service
• Time management and organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform care according to age-specific competencies

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with clinical procedures (vital signs, wound care, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs, splints)
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms for visits and procedures
• Performs patient intake duties and reports results
• Maintains daily logs and documentation
• Supports administrative duties (pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, clinic communications)
• Maintains organized workload and delivers prompt, courteous service
• Monitors clinic supplies and equipment inventory
• Educates patients on medications, diets, and health topics
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies
