ScionHealth is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in a busy outpatient clinic. You will assist with patient intake, vitals, EKGs, vaccines, wound care, and specimen collection, while handling medication prep under physician direction.

You will coordinate care, verify insurance, and manage prior authorizations, education, and EMR documentation, maintaining safety, HIPAA, and OSHA standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of outpatient or physician practice experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/CCMA/RMA) required upon hire.
• BCLS certification required upon hire or per facility timeline.
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and medical terminology.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilités

• Assist in rooming patients, take vitals, perform EKGs under supervision.
• Administer vaccines, wound care, and specimen collection per protocol.
• Prepare and administer medications under physician direction.
• Coordinate care, verify insurance, obtain prior authorizations.
• Educate patients and ensure EMR accuracy and documentation.
• Maintain and calibrate clinical equipment; ensure OSHA/HIPAA compliance.
• Serve as a clinical resource for uncertified staff and support training.
• Participate in quality and infection control initiatives.
