Position Summary

Responsibilities
  1. Essential Functions
  2. Accountable to the Nurse Manager or Practice Manager for operational issues.
  3. Participates in quality initiatives and process improvements.
  4. Communicates professionally with patients and families.
  5. Collaborates with administrative and operations staff.
  6. Gathers patient data via interview and observation.
  7. Prepares patients for examinations and assists during procedures.
  8. Performs routine treatments and administers approved medications.
  9. Documents patient data and treatments per policies.
  10. Acts as a liaison for scheduling tests and consultations.
  11. Manages calls professionally using sound clinical judgment.
  12. Enters medication, lab, and imaging orders into the electronic system under provider direction.
  13. Ensures compliance with policies and infection control standards.
  14. Maintains punctual attendance and adheres to all policies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of approved Medical Assistant training or at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
  • Certification from recognized agencies such as NHA, AAMA, AMCA, NCCT, NAHP, AMT, ARMA, or AAH; other certifications considered case-by-case.
