Expected pay for this position is $20.41 - $24.01/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity. This is an hourly position.

MOA pay is $17.60 per hour.

Position Summary:

The Certified Medical Assistant will perform delegated clinical and administrative duties consistent with their education, training, and experience. They may work in both clinical and front office functions, providing clerical support, assisting in healthcare delivery, and supporting patient care activities under the physician/provider's direction. In Rural Health Clinic settings, BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certificate of completion or diploma from a medical assistant program, or completion of Guild MedCerts medical assistant certification course with OSF applied learning program, or at least 6 months experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent on-the-job training/education.
• Current certification from one of the following agencies:
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) - CMA credential
  • American Medical Technologists (AMT) - RMA credential
  • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) - NCMA credential
  • National HealthCare Association (NHA) - CCMA credential
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Willingness to travel to all five locations as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a medical office assistant, CNA, or similar role
• Experience with electronic health records and phlebotomy
• If in Rural Health Clinic, BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
