Expected pay ranges from $20.41 to $24.01/hour, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity. This is an hourly position. The MOA pay rate is $17.60 per hour.

Overview

Eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants and new internal grads.

OSF invests in its team from day one. Candidates with 5+ years of direct experience receive 24 hours of Vacation and Holiday time, available from day one, in addition to other generous time-off benefits.

Position Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant performs delegated clinical and administrative duties aligned with their education, training, and experience. They may work in both clinical and front office functions, providing clerical support and assisting in patient care activities under the physician/provider's direction. In Rural Health Clinic settings, BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certificate of completion or diploma from a medical assistant program, or completion of Guild MedCerts medical assistant certification course and OSF applied learning program, or at least 6 months of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant, or proof of on-the-job training/education for medical assisting.
  • Current certification from one of the following agencies: AAMA (CMA), AMT (RMA), NCCT (NCMA), or NHA (CCMA).

Other skills include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Willingness to travel among five locations based on needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a medical office assistant, CNA, or similar role
  • Experience with electronic health records and phlebotomy
  • If in Rural Health Clinic, BLS certification required.
