Novant Health Urgent Care James Island is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN for a full-time role. You will support patient flow, prepare patients for physician visits, take vitals, and document information into the EMR.

You will also assist with front-desk duties and provide outstanding customer service. The role requires 12-hour shifts and weekend availability; training is provided, and you may work at other centers as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program.
• Current CMA or Registered Medical Assistant certification.
• OSHA/HIPAA compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for physician visits and take vitals.
• Document patient information into the EMR accurately.
• Assist with front-desk duties and provide excellent customer service.
• Support patient flow and clinic operations.

What Are We Looking For?

Novant Health Urgent Care is currently looking for a medical assistant to join our team who will prepare patients for their physician visit. MA’s prepare patients by taking vitals, documents vital information from patient into EMR system. They also assist with patient services duties at the front desk taking phone calls, updating patient demographics and offering outstanding customer service.

Do You Have What It Takes?

A good candidate will bring with them:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an Accredited Medical Assisting Program
• Current Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant
• Basic medical terminology
• Trained in OSHA/HIPAA compliance
