Tampa General Hospital, a leading Academic Medical Group, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support USFTGP Internal Medicine. The role covers patient rooming, basic clinical tasks, specimen collection, and clerical duties.

You will work under supervision to ensure efficient visits and accurate charting, while maintaining patient privacy. On-site in Tampa, full-time schedule with mornings/afternoons; requires CMA/RMA/MA certifications and at least 3 months' healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and basic clinical procedures.
• Experience with drawing blood and handling specimens is preferred.
• Proficient in documenting in electronic health records accurately.

Responsabilités

• Pre-visit preparation and scheduling of appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and identify services needing authorization.
• Clerical duties including chart prep and keeping patient records up to date.
• Utilize EHR for accurate documentation and retrieval of patient info while following privacy rules.
• Provide clinical support such as wound care, specimen collection, and med administration under supervision.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, record vital signs, and prep for visits.
