Job summary

AdventHealth in Hendersonville, NC seeks a qualified Medical Assistant to join our day-shift team. You will support clinic operations, prepare patients and equipment, perform testing, and document results in the practice’s system.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/BLS and CMA/CMAC/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA certification, plus knowledge of healthcare and patient advocacy; prior clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of health care field and medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of chronic disease management.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize internal and external resources.
  • Expertise in patient advocacy and navigating complex systems.
  • Ability to function in stressful, fast-paced environments and manage stress.
  • Ability to work independently within the scope of certification.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement, diplomacy and a professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing and typing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively.
  • Experience with computers required.

Sign On Bonus up to $5,000

Shift: Full Time Days

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8-5pm & Friday 8-12pm
