Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with national certification.

Responsibilities

• Assists in obtaining patient vital signs and updates charts per visit and by phone.
• Collects and processes point-of-care, lab, and pathology samples per policy.
• Performs quality and safety checks on waived testing equipment and supplies.
• Administers and records treatments, dressing changes, medications, and therapies.
• Chaperones and prepares for procedures and assists providers as needed.
• Maintains a clean patient care environment and proper infection prevention.
