Job summary

La Clinica de Familia is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care under the CMA Scope of Practice, including vaccination administration and medication support. You will play a key role in supporting physicians and ensuring patients receive attentive, compliant care.

Required CMA certification, CPR, and phlebotomy credentials, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred. This non-exempt role offers benefits and opportunities in a multi-location health system in Southern

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to medical and behavioral health patients per CMA Scope of Practice.
  • Administer vaccines and medications as part of physician practice support.
  • Assist physicians to ensure timely, quality patient care and safety.

La Clinica de Familia (LCDF) is a FQHC with several locations in Southern New Mexico. For over 40 years, La Clinica has provided services to the residents of Southern New Mexico. Job Summary

Responsible for providing direct patient care to medical and/or behavioral health patients by performing the duties identified in the CMA’s Scope of Practice, to include administration of vaccines and medications. The Certified Medical Assistant plays a key role in the Physicians’ practice and provides the assistance necessary to ensure all patients.

Job Requirements
  • Current CPR and phlebotomy certifications required
  • Must have a current and unrestricted medical assistant (CMA) certification
  • Valid NM or Texas driver’s license and up to date automobile insurance
