Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our care team as a float pool resource across local clinics. You will perform vital signs, venipuncture, specimen collection, EKGs, and POCTs, and support clinical staff.

You will collect patient history, reconcile medications, enter data in the EMR, note complaints, set up instruments, and assist with procedures. We value compassion, clinical knowledge, tech fluency, and teamwork, with ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a float pool resource to various clinics within designated, local region.
• Performs routine patient care responsibilities such as taking vital signs, venipuncture (blood draws), collect specimens, EKGs/ECGs, and POCTs.
• Collects patient history, performs medication reconciliation and enters information in the electronic medical record.
• Notes the primary complaint/reason for patient’s visit.
• Sets up instruments and equipment for medical provider (MD, DO, PA NP).
• Assist with procedures as needed.

As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), you will be a vital pillar of our care team, significantly impacting patient well-being through direct support and seamless coordination.

Every day, you will actively collaborate on comprehensive screenings, assist with clinical procedures, provide essential health education, and expertly manage administrative tasks, leveraging technology to coordinate care for diverse patient populations. You will ensure patients feel at ease, patiently explaining instructions and addressing their concerns.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong clinical knowledge, technological fluency, genuine compassion for patient well-being, and an adaptable spirit keen on continuous learning and collaborative teamwork.
