Job summary

Ascension's Howell Allen Clinic in Nashville, TN, seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to coordinate patient visits, document vital signs, and transcribe orders for labs and imaging.

You’ll support front desk operations, maintain supplies, and help the care team stay focused on patients. Requires BLS within 1 month and CMA credential, with high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certified Medical Assistant obtained within 4 months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Approved credentialing bodies include, but may not be limited to: American Medical Technologists, National Healthcare Assoc, National Center for Competency Testing, National Assoc for Health Professionals and American Assoc of Medical Assistants.

• Coordinate seamless patient visits by preparing treatment environments and conducting initial screenings to ensure every individual feels welcomed and ready for care.
• Capture the patient’s story by accurately documenting vital signs and care journeys, providing the medical team with high-quality data for precise clinical decisions.
• Transcribe and process orders for labs and imaging to ensure follow-up services are provided without delay.
• Manage front-of-house communications and maintain medical supplies to help the care team stay focused on the patient.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need
