Job summary

Centerstone in Florida is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support prescribers and nurses in a behavioral health setting. You will take vital signs, return patient calls, educate patients, and perform duties under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities include assisting with prescription refills, coordinating with physicians, managing samples, and documenting care within two days. A CMA certification is required; one year of mental health care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Candidate should be CMA certified with knowledge of clinical workflow in behavioral health.
• Minimum one year of mental health care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and triage patient questions under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Return patient calls and provide education as directed.
• Assist prescribers and nurses with samples, refills, and routine communication.
• Assist in coordinating Patient Assistance Programs through pharmaceutical companies.
• Manage sample medications under supervision.
• Support nursing staff with patient weights and blood pressure.
