Certified Medical Assistant - Medical Sleep Medicine West Chester (Finance)

Responsibilities
  1. Function as an integral part of the Clinical office staff, performing administrative and clinical duties.
  2. Obtain intake information, perform delegated tasks and treatments, and provide direct patient care as required.
  3. Schedule tests and procedures, and provide patient education and instructions related to these.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or graduate of a medical assistant program.
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from AAMA, NHA, NCCT, NAHP, ARMA, AMT.
  • Seven to eleven months of equivalent experience preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, able to interact effectively with patients of all education levels.
  • Ability to react calmly in emergencies, work independently, manage multiple tasks, and utilize electronic health record software.
  • Knowledge of growth and development milestones, patient care procedures, and legal regulations.
  • Ability to perform treatments, administer medications, operate equipment, and recognize signs of abuse or neglect.
Additional Duties
  • Assist in age-appropriate care and direct patient care as part of the clinical team.
  • Obtain vital signs, EKGs, laboratory specimens, and other necessary information.
  • Document notes, orders, and prescriptions in the Electronic Medical Record.
  • Maintain clinic area, prepare supplies, and ensure equipment functionality.
  • Handle routine patient communications and coordinate ancillary services.
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Follow safety standards and legal regulations to ensure a secure work environment.
