Job summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking a Credentialed Medical Assistant to join our procedural team in McBain, MI. You will work alongside providers to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinic setting.

You\'ll room patients, obtain vitals, document histories, and assist with procedures, including phlebotomy when required. A strong teamwork mindset and adherence to safety protocols are essential for success at Munson Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Medical Assistant with Munson Healthcare credentials.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in phlebotomy is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room and prepare patients according to clinic checklists and procedures.
• Measure weight, height, vitals, and document medical histories.
• Perform specimen collection and assist with procedures following protocols.
• Support day-to-day clinic operations and collaborate with staff and providers.

Job Description

A Day inthe Life

• As a Medical Assistant Procedural, you willcomplete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic. You willwork alongside the provider tomake sure our patients are taken care of, and the clinic runs smoothlyIf you have and enjoy using your procedure-based skills, this opportunity is perfect for you!

• You will be the first point of patient care within the clinic. You will room and prepare patients according to clinic specific checklists or procedures.You will measurepatient weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse (manual and automatic), blood pressure (manual and automatic), and other patient care which can vary based on clinic.

• You will completerequired patient care documentation including Medical Histories, referral requests, etc. You will also perform a variety of procedures with patients following established protocols and processes including sterile procedure setup and specimen collection.

• You will assistwith day-to-day operations as required for optimal patient care which can include assisting fellow teammates and providers when necessary.

Qualifications

What's Required

CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.
• Experienced in Phlebotomy is highly preferred.

Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
