Job summary

Tower Health is seeking a certified or registered Medical Assistant to support both the Limerick and Phoenixville Ortho offices. The MA will gather and screen patient information, communicate under delegation from a provider, and perform both clerical and clinical duties.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling, updating the EMR, rooming patients, taking histories and vitals, preparing exam rooms, explaining procedures, and assisting clinicians during examinations to ensure smooth

Qualifications

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
• High School Diploma - OR - GED - OR - Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program.
• Experience: Relevant Experience
• Certification and Licensure: BLS + MA certification as listed or THMG Leadership approval for others

Responsibilities

• Gather, screen, communicate and act on delegation from a provider, RN or LPN per scope of practice.
• Greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and update patient EMR.
• Room patients, take medical histories, record vitals, prepare exam room for procedures.
• Explain treatment procedures to patients and prepare them for examinations.
• Facilitate patient flow and assist the Physician, NP or PA during examinations.

Job Summary

Candidates must be able to work out of both the Limerick and Phoenixville Ortho offices.

• Medical assistant (MA) is positioned within the workforce to gather, screen, communicate and act based on delegation from a provider, registered nurse or Licensed Practical nurse as per scope of practice.
• The MA performs a combination of clerical and direct patient care duties.
• Clerical responsibilities include greeting patients, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and updating patients electronic medical record (EMR).
• Clinical responsibilities include rooming patients, taking medical histories, performing and recording vital signs, preparing exam room for procedures, explaining treatment procedures to patients, preparing patients for examination, facilitation of patient flow through the office, and assisting the Physician, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant during examinations.

Medical Assistant Certification other than those listed requires THMG Leadership Approval.
