Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant II for our Family Medicine clinic in Colleyville, TX. This full-time role supports physicians with examinations, patient prep, and routine care under supervision.

Responsibilities include vital signs, injections, specimen collection, and administration of medications. Strong teamwork and documentation skills are essential, with opportunities for training and growth within the team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Two years of professional experience.
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 30 days of joining.
• Must be a CMA from NCCT, AAMA, NHA, AMT, NAHP, AMCA or related certifier.

Responsibilities

• Assisting during patient examinations and treatments under physician guidance.
• Setting up treatment rooms and maintaining cleanliness post-procedure.
• Accompanying patients from waiting area and preparing them for exams.
• Conducting patient interviews to obtain medical history and documenting it.
• Taking and recording patient vital signs.
• Carrying out routine tests, processing electrocardiograms, and collecting specimens.
• Administering medications as instructed by physician.
• Changing dressings and removing sutures and staples.
• Handling administrative tasks like calls and scheduling appointments.
• Mentoring and training staff to promote team productivity.
