Job summary

The Maury County Government in Columbia, TN seeks a Medical Assistant 2 to perform certified medical assisting duties under supervision of licensed nurses and physicians. Graduation from a medical assistant program with current CMA or RMA certification is required. This full-time role (37.5 hours/week) offers a base pay of $2,581.00 per month, with duties including

Qualifications

• Graduation from a medical assistant program and successful completion of Certified Medical Assistant Exam or Registered Medical Assistant Exam.
• Qualifying experience may substitute for the required education and certification per policy.
• Currently registered or certified as a medical assistant.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct clinical care under supervision of licensed nurses, APRNs and/or Physicians, including venipunctures and capillary sticks.
• Perform point of care laboratory tests and administer vaccines and medications; take vital signs and perform growth measurements.
• Assist higher level provider during exams and procedures and maintain proper records.
