Job description

Responsible for providing general direct and indirect patient care in a clinical setting under the supervision of a physician. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure smooth practice operations and excellent patient care. Works in clerical, administrative, or clinical capacities and may perform specialized tasks as required.


Principal Accountabilities:


  1. Handle patient intake, update medical records, and administer screening tools.
  2. Record medical information and test results, conduct patient interviews, take and record vital signs, collect specimens, and administer medication under physician supervision.
  3. Assist with walk-in and scheduled visits, verify and record clinical data, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  4. Guide patients through the healthcare system and assist with timely arrival for appointments.
  5. Take vital signs to establish baselines before examinations.
  6. Assist physicians during examinations with clinical tasks.
  7. Collect and prepare laboratory samples, instruct patients on sample collection, or draw blood.
  8. Maintain excellent communication, strong work ethic, active listening, adaptability in a fast-paced environment, and uphold professionalism. Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Greet patients and schedule appointments efficiently.
  10. Maintain accurate medical records, including patient histories and vital signs, in the computer system.
  11. Sanitize and organize patient rooms between visits.
  12. Prepare examination rooms, disinfect equipment, and stock supplies to ensure readiness.
  13. Provide emotional support aligned with the patient's care plan.
  14. Assist with patient referrals to specialists for diagnosis or treatment.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned.
