Job summary

Atlantic Medical Group is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant I for per diem daytime coverage in Morristown, NJ. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under physician supervision, supporting clinical operations and patient flow across the Breast Surgery department.

You will collect vital signs, prepare exam rooms, document records, and assist with referrals and specimen collection, maintaining professionalism and clear communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• National Certification CCMA from: NHA, AAMA, NAHP, ARMA, AMT, AMCA, or NCCT.
• Associate's degree in Medical Care or related field.
• 1 year of experience in Health Care services.
• 2+ years experience in outpatient, ambulatory setting.
• BLS upon hire
• EPIC or similar EMR system

Responsibilities

• Handles patient intake, updates medical records, and administers appropriate screening tools.
• Records medical information and test results, conducts patient interviews, takes and records vital signs, collects specimens, and administers medication under physician supervision.
• Assists with walk-in and scheduled clinic visits, ensures verification and recording of clinical data and adherence to quality standards.
• Guides patients through the health care system and helps patients arrive at scheduled appointments on time.
• Taking vital signs and assisting with examinations, preparing rooms and supplies.
• Maintains medical records and scheduling integration, ensuring data integrity and patient readiness for visits.
