Job Overview

Under the supervision of a provider, the Certified Medical Assistant assists with patient assessments, treatments, and administrative duties at Haywood Women's clinic.

Responsibilities

1. Perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
2. Monitor and communicate changes in patient condition.
3. Document patient care accurately.
4. Maintain examination areas, equipment, and medical supplies, including stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
5. Carry out administrative or clerical duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
6. Complete additional tasks within the scope of the position as delegated by practice leads, supervisors, managers, or Market Director.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum Work Experience: Previous medical experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work with minimal supervision, and capacity to handle stressful environments.
• Licenses and Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant required. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
