Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to assist in providing clinical care under supervision and to perform clerical duties. The role runs 8:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday with one late night per week, and requires a CMA credential, good communication, and the ability to work with diverse patients.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, assisting physicians, performing tests and maintaining medical records while upholding

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Ability to interact effectively with varying populations.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam and treatment rooms, supplies and instruments.
• Prepares patients for physician visit and examination.
• Takes vital signs and records in medical chart.
• Performs EKG, PFT, Audiometry, and related tests as indicated.
• Maintains patient records and assists with billing procedures.
• Uses computer software to maintain office systems.
• Ensures confidentiality and patient privacy.
• Adheres to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
