Job summary

Texas Health Physicians Group in Rockwall, TX is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a fast-paced clinic. The role involves patient check-out, surgery scheduling, and post-operative calls, with a focus on care delivery and communication.

Requirements include CMA certification, high school diploma, and 90-day completion of THPG clinical training; ACLS/BCLS are variably required. Work hours are 8am-5pm, Monday–Friday, with travel to Kaufman as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (REQUIRED)
• Certified Medical Assistant certification (REQUIRED)
• 1 year CMA experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
• Completion of THPG Clinical Training within 90 days (REQUIRED)
• ACLS certification (PREFERRED)
• BCLS certification (REQUIRED)
• 6+ months of Surgical Scheduling/front office experience (STRONGLY PREFERRED)
• Knowledge of prior authorizations and referrals (PREFERRED)
• Knowledge of Insurance Benefits (PREFERRED)
• Bilingual English/Spanish (PREFERRED)

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing CMA processes
• Handles patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls
• Communicates results and plan of care by phone or mail
• Ensures patient safety and privacy rights
• May work in front office as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
