Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant at the Salisbury location. The CMA will coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe, quality care for the practice population. You will perform preliminary exams, document vital signs, interview patients, and assist with examinations and procedures within your scope of practice.

Medication administration is included. We value patient confidentiality, accuracy in charting, and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary patient assessments: height, weight, pulse, blood pressure, and temperature.
• Review and prepare patient charts for accuracy and completeness.
• Interview patients to gather medical history and current healthcare needs.
• Assist with examinations, treatments, procedures, and diagnostic testing.
• Administer medications, immunizations, and injections as ordered.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Document and oversee QC, test results, and maintenance records.
