Job summary

The CMA will work under supervision, handling vitals, injections, phlebotomy, and exam room prep, with emphasis on accurate documentation and patient communication. A positive, team-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• 0–1 year of experience in a medical practice or externship.
• Completion of externship program required.
• CMA-AAMA or NCMA-NCTT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, wound care, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, EKGs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms for patient visits.
• Handle patient intake, triage, and document medical information.
• Review daily logs and clinic documentation.
• Support administrative duties: pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, and insurance eligibility verification.
• Maintain organized workload and provide courteous service to providers and patients.
• Monitor clinic supplies and equipment to ensure inventory.
• Educate patients on medications and health topics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
