Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) seeks a Certified Medical Assistant in Lancaster Comprehensive Urology. The role reports to the Outpatient Clinic Manager and involves patient interviews, vital signs, and preparing examination rooms.

Emphasis on accurate charting and teamwork across the outpatient setting. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited medical assisting program, and BLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program with one year of patient care experience preferred.
• Must be certified through AMT/AAMA/NHA/NAHP/MedCA as a CMA/CCMA.
• Current BLS certification required (AHA/Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records or inputs information into the medical record.
• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
