Job Details

Shift: Days, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. No weekends.

Location: Orthopedic practice with 3 locations.

General Summary

Assists with patient examination and treatment under the supervision of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider).

Responsibilities

• Assist with treatments ordered by the provider, perform select clinical duties.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, record information, and prepare treatment rooms.
• Perform clerical duties such as answering phones, maintaining records, and filing.
• Manage supplies, maintain a clean environment.
• Document provider encounters, list diagnoses and symptoms, and transcribe orders including labs, radiology, and medications.

Certifications/Licenses Required

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Medical Assistant certification within 3 months (any issuing authority).

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of relevant experience.
