Job summary

Family Medical Center in Walla Walla, WA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinicians, maintain patient records, and prepare exam rooms. You will assist during exams and minor procedures, and help manage pre‑visit planning with the care team.

The role requires graduation from an accredited MA program, WA MA certification or interim certification, and CPR within 90 days. Spanish skills are a plus in our diverse clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited medical assistant program with at least 720 hours training and 160 hours externship.
• Washington State Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Interim Certification.
• CPR certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Spanish-speaking skills preferred at a high level.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR, including histories, vitals, treatments, and immunizations.
• Prepare for visits by reviewing charts and coordinating referrals with the Provider team.
• Prepare exam rooms, explain procedures, and assist during exams and minor procedures.
• Collect and process lab specimens and administer medications as ordered.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Provider team.
