Certified Medical Assistant - FT/PT - Exp Required

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our primary care team. The MA will support the healthcare team by providing patient care, administrative assistance, and ensuring smooth operations within the practice. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, and demonstrates a commitment to patient care and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Patient Care: Greet patients, prepare them for examination, take and record vital signs, assist with examinations and procedures, administer medications and injections, collect laboratory specimens, perform basic tests, and educate patients on health maintenance.
  2. Clinical Support: Assist with minor surgical procedures, prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, conduct diagnostic tests, and document clinical data accurately in EHR.
  3. Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, answer calls, verify insurance, handle billing, assist with check-in/out, maintain records, and coordinate referrals.
  4. Office Operations: Manage inventory, ensure cleanliness, collaborate with the team, and participate in meetings and training.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a primary care or clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, clinical procedures, EHR systems, and basic computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, lift supplies, and perform clinical tasks.
Work Environment & Benefits

The role involves working in a fast-paced primary care setting, with occasional exposure to infectious materials. Use of PPE is required.
