Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of Medical Assistant program.
• Licensure: BLS certification required.
• Experience: None.
• Skills: Telephone and computer skills. Flexible in accepting work assignments.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
• Physical Effort: Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods; lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients and documents vital signs and intake in the EHR.
• Performs medication reconciliation and prepares exam rooms.
• Assists providers with exams, procedures and wound care.
• Maintains infection control and patient privacy standards.
• Communicates clearly with patients, families and care team.
• Participates in quality improvement and care coordination.
