Job summary

Yoh is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our occupational health clinic in Utica, IL. You will manage front and back office tasks and support patient care in a fast-paced setting.

The role offers a 4-month contract with potential for extension or direct placement, and hourly pay between $18 and $25, depending on experience. Shaping a positive patient experience, you will perform vital signs, record-keeping, and basic clinical duties under state regulation.

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant required; National Medical Assistant Certification from NHA, AAMA, NCCT, or AMCA. RMA (AMT) not accepted.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height).
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments.
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
