Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program; curriculum must include pharmacology and medication administration. Certification/registry must be obtained by the last day of the sixth month of hire, with an education agreement signed. Accepted certifications include CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NHCWA, NCCT, NAHP, AAH, ARMA. Alternatively, relevant work experience or a graduate of an accredited nursing program with clinical and administrative duties are acceptable.
• Experience: Previous work in a medical setting preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current certification or ability to obtain within 6 months as CMA, RMA, or CCMA; required.
• Additional Skills: Ability to complete skills validation and competency testing successfully.
