Georgia Youth Challenge Program (GaYCP) within the Department of Defense seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support cadets and staff at Ft. Stewart. You will handle clinical care, medications, and record-keeping in a 22-week residential program with rigorous activities and education components.

Qualifications

Associate degree in a related field or HS diploma/GED with 1 year medical assisting experience.
Current Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
Valid Georgia Driver's License with passenger endorsement for commercial vans.

Responsibilities

Responds to medical emergencies, assessing and treating minor injuries and illnesses of cadets and staff in a clinical setting.
Dispenses over-the-counter medications and maintains medical records for cadets.
Maintains medical files, data entry, and scheduling for cadet appointments.
May teach first aid and participate in extracurricular activities as needed.
