Job description

Summary

Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

This medical office position involves providing direct nursing care under the supervision of a physician, assisting medical providers, and maintaining a clean and safe environment in accordance with practice policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program OR three years of relevant work experience in lieu of the program (required)
  • Certification:
  • Medical Assistant Certification through NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, ARMA, or HPRUS (must obtain within 90 days)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • Experience:
  • Medical Assistant diploma or three years of relevant healthcare experience (required)
  • Preferred: At least one year of relevant work experience
