Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a medical assistant.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records software and procedures.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program with CMA certification.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CMA certification required by AAMA/AMT/NCCT.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing patients and document basic medical history.
• Organizing and scheduling appointments.
• Updating and filing medical records and insurance reports.
• Schedule and pre-cert surgical procedures and laboratory services.
• Assist during medical examinations.
• Scan and index medical documents into patient charts.

Basic ResponsibilityThe Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing support services to ensure efficient operation in the offices and clinical environment. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.
