AdventHealth in Davenport, Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient visits and procedures in a clinical setting. The role involves taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and performing basic clerical tasks as part of a collaborative health care team.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS CPR certification, and CMA/CMAC/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA or similar credentials. On-site work with day shifts, competitive pay, and Florida background-screening compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv is required.
• BLS CPR is required.
• CMA/CD CMA certifications are required (one of CMA/CMAC/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA).
• Experience in a medical office is preferred.

• Documents provider encounters with patients, including diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions, and prescriptions.
• Transcribes patient orders for laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications, and provides patient education.

Job Description:

• Collaborates with healthcare professionals to perform procedures and treatments. Maintains accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions and medical procedures.
• Ensures compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

• Customer service experience in medical office [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required] AND
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) [Required] OR
• Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) [Required] OR
