Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Available between 7am-6pm, schedule will vary, 40-hour work week

Location: Float between Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties

The role you’ll contribute:

The Medical Assistant provides appropriate care to patients within the scope of Florida Statutes Title XXXII: Regulations of Professionals and Occupations. Chapter 458. Medical Assistants assist in various aspects of medical practice under the supervision of a physician. Responsibilities may include patient care management, administrative and clinical procedures. In all practice endeavors, the Medical Assistant will adhere to ethical and professional standards.

• Reviews appointment bookings in advance and ensures patients receive appointment reminders.
• Verifies and validates insurance prior to appointment date.
• Completes check-in process, securing copays and balance amounts.
• Verifies that consent forms are completed and up to date.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
• BCLS - Basic Life Support
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification from an AdventHealth approved certifying body
