Sentara Medical Group-Sentara Park in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Flexi/PRN Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Float pool, serving VA Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake with occasional travel to Edenton, Elizabeth City, and Moyock, NC. The role offers differential pay for flexibility and travel; schedule is 12 hours per week, Mondays through Fridays.

Qualifications

• Support multiple clinics within the float pool and assist with travel as needed.

Overview

Sentara Medical Group-Sentara Park is seeking a Flexi/PRN Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our exceptional Float pool team. This is a Flexi Float Pool position serving Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake, VA. Occasional travel to Edenton, Elizabeth City, and Moyock, NC may be required based on staffing needs. Differential pay is offered for the flexibility and travel required in this role. Schedule: Monday through Friday- Flexi (12 hours per week) Overview The Certified Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Experience

• Less than a year of related experience is required
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred

Education

• High School Graduate or Equivalent is required

Certification/Licensure

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• Current, unexpired Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, NRCMA, CMAC, or equivalent) or EMT-Basic certification from an accredited organization
