Job summary

The South Bend Clinic is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Family Medicine department in South Bend, IN. You will work Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., delivering clinical and administrative support within a physician-led, patient-centered care team.

You will perform technical back-office tasks, document patient interactions, and verify insurance in Epic. The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, teamwork, and high-quality patient experiences in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant required.
• Proficient computer skills including EMR; highly organized; able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work with a diverse patient base of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Provides triage and management of office flow to meet patient medical and service needs.
• Performs the technical component of clinical procedures competently.
• Documents all patient care accurately and concisely.
• Verifies patient insurance coverage and documents in Epic.
• Communicates patient care thoroughly and according to guidelines.
• Adheres to HIPAA guidelines and clinic policies.
