Job summary

Munson Healthcare is seeking a Credentialed Medical Assistant Procedural to join our Cadillac, MI clinics. You will be the first patient touch, room and prepare patients, and support providers to keep the clinic running smoothly. You will measure vitals and document care, assisting with procedures as needed.

Credentialing as a Medical Assistant is required, with BLS preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Phlebotomy experience is highly valued and a sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Medical Assistant certification from Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Phlebotomy experience is highly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room and prepare patients according to clinic checklists and procedures.
• Measure patient vitals including weight, height, O2, respiration, temperature, pulse and blood pressure.
• Complete patient care documentation such as medical histories and referrals; perform procedures per protocol.
• Assist with day-to-day clinic operations and support team members and providers.

A Day inthe Life

• As a Medical Assistant Procedural, you willcomplete clinical and administrative tasks within the clinic. You willwork alongside the provider tomake sure our patients are taken care of, and the clinic runs smoothlyIf you have and enjoy using your procedure-based skills, this opportunity is perfect for you!

• You will be the first point of patient care within the clinic. You will room and prepare patients according to clinic specific checklists or procedures.You will measurepatient weight, height, oxygen saturation, respiration, temperature, pulse (manual and automatic), blood pressure (manual and automatic), and other patient care which can vary based on clinic.

• You will completerequired patient care documentation including Medical Histories, referral requests, etc. You will also perform a variety of procedures with patients following established protocols and processes including sterile procedure setup and specimen collection.

• You will assistwith day-to-day operations as required for optimal patient care which can include assisting fellow teammates and providers when necessary.

Qualifications

What’s Required

CREDENTIALED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

• High school graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
• Credentialed as a Medical Assistant from an approved Munson Healthcare Credentialing Organization.
• BLS certification preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire and maintained.
• Experienced in Phlebotomy is highly preferred.

Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
