Overview$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for External Candidates
Assist provider and other clinical staff with obtaining basic vital information, preparing patients for examination, treatment, and minor surgical procedures. Responsible for tracking follow-up appointments related to office visits, laboratory tests, and procedures to monitor disease status. Schedule referrals for patients with specialists or outpatient services as requested by the provider. Complete necessary forms or requisitions for referrals or lab testing, including CPT/ICD-10 coding. Answer questions and provide education to patients and their families.

ResponsibilitiesClinical Excellence/Patient Care
- Assist with obtaining vital signs and preparing patients for procedures.
- Demonstrate competence in clinical skills required for the role.
- Draw and collect blood and other samples; prepare specimens for lab analysis.
- Administer medications and vaccines as ordered.
- Manage follow-up appointments and monitor patient disease status.
- Schedule referrals, complete forms, and ensure proper coding.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
Development and Patient Education
- Provide patient and family education and answer questions.
- Understand testing values and their implications for patient care.
- Participate in meetings and stay informed about organizational updates.
- Maintain compliance with CLIA, OSHA, Safety, and Risk Management guidelines.
- Adhere to all policies including HIPAA and workplace conduct.
- Maintain consistent attendance and strive for quality improvement.
- Contribute to team goals and support office operations.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or have a high school diploma with CLIA lab experience.
- Preferred prior clinical experience and computer skills.
- Current CME certification (AAMA, NCCT, RMA, NHA), BLS, and Mandatory Reporter certification.
- Valid driver’s license for work-related driving.

- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).

- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
