Job summary

Novant Health in Monroe, NC seeks a Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering safe, quality care within the practice. The role coordinates patient flow, assists with examinations, and helps maintain accurate records.

Applicants must hold CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification (or be able to obtain within 6 months) and have a high school diploma. Prior medical office experience is preferred and a current driver’s license may be required for palliative care duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. State drivers license may be required depending on duties.
• Previous work in a medical office is preferred.
• Must successfully complete department-specific skills validation and competency testing.

• Additional skills required:Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
