Job summary

Florida ENT and Allergy, a division of ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time role at our Westchase office. The position supports in-office ENT, allergy and audiology care, requiring accurate charting, patient prep, and collaboration with physicians.

Candidates must have at least 1 year hands-on MA experience, current CMA certification, EMR proficiency, and strong communication and organizational skills; bilingual Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hands-on Medical Assistant experience.
• Current CMA certification.
• Comfortable assisting with surgical procedures.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with patients, physicians, and team members.
• EMR experience.
• Strong computer literacy.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient calls and manage inquiries.
• Take vitals and prepare patients for visits.
• Obtain authorizations and schedule tests/surgery.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians during procedures.
• Call in prescriptions as directed.
• Sterilize instruments per CDC guidelines.
• Provide patient briefings before physician enters exam room.
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation.
• Coordinate care with the ENT team.
