Pinehurst Medical Clinic is seeking a certified/registered Medical Assistant for our Endocrinology team in Southern Pines, NC. This regular full-time role supports patient care through medical and administrative tasks and patient flow coordination.

The Medical Assistant will measure vital signs, escort patients, schedule appointments, transcribe notes, and assist physicians with exams and procedures. CPR/BLS is required or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Certification through CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), CCMA (NHA), or NCMA.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification or be able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on charts.
• Coordinate and provide patient support services such as scheduling appointments, answering telephones, greeting and registering patients.
• Run spirometry tests and EKGs and assist physicians during examinations.
• Review patient records for completeness of studies and reports.
• Ensure exam rooms are stocked and equipment is functioning; order supplies as needed.
• Call for pre-certifications and work with patient accounts representatives to facilitate referrals.
• Collaborate between secretary and nursing staff to maintain smooth patient flow.
• Practice within the scope of medical/clinic assistants.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Formation

High school diploma or GED

Certification CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA
