Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program; curriculum must include pharmacology and medication administration. Certification/registry must be obtained by the last day of the sixth month of hire, with an education agreement signed. Accepted certifications include CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NHCWA, NCCT, NAHP, AAH, or ARMA. Alternatively, relevant work experience as a supervised medical assistant or graduate of an accredited nursing school is acceptable, with experience including clinical and administrative duties.
• Experience: Previous work in a medical office is preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current certification or ability to obtain within 6 months as CMA, RMA, or CCMA is required.
• Additional Skills: Ability to successfully complete skills validation and competency testing.
